I went to the Mountains...

No, I am not singing an Indigo Girls song, I took this weekend off and headed to Northern PA. to a friends cabin.  It was wonderful to spend some QT with Ted and the kids, as well hang out with our friends.  Of course I did not leave home without my camera (you know what would be freezing over for sure if I did) and I wanted to share a couple of my favorite shots.  The second shot of Cate has got to be one of my favorites of her, ever.  And the salamander shot, well let's just say I was more than happy to be taking the picture!!

Tag your it!!

These two boys are from out of town and are visiting their Grandparents in Lancaster. When I got to the house, I was in awe of the gardens that surrounded the house (they are stunning). Once I picked my jaw off the lawn, we got some really fun shots, playing and laughing (even if little C did not think my jokes were funny).  Which brings me to Casey the dog.  I had tried everything to get Casey to look my way while getting a group shot but to no avail.  Finally, I meowed, which yes did get Casey to look my way, but with his head cocked as if to say "What in the Sam Hill are you doing strange woman??"  Despite failed jokes and a dog that thought I was odd, the shoot went great!  So "M" Family-here is your sneak peek...Tag Casey Gpa_2

I need your thoughts and prayers...

For this little boy who had a horrible accident this weekend (I am sorry I can not give you details).  He is in bad shape and I am asking that you take a second to say a prayer or have positive thoughts for both him and his family.

It wasn't just the weather that was hot!!

These two lovebirds were lighting  Lancaster City up!  I must admit despite it being a bit muggy, I had a so much fun! Plus I found two new places I can shoot at.  Not too bad of a night!  Want to know a little secret, this bride is having her attendants wear ORANGE dresses for the wedding!!! Who is the luckiest photographer in Lancaster...woo-hoo it's ME!!!  K & M- you know I can't wait to torture photograph you guys in October!  Here is your sneak peek...Love1 Love2

First Senior of the Season!

What an amazing shoot!  This Senior, her Mom and I went all over Lancaster City scoping out prime spots and having a good old time.  "A" was a natural, proved to be very helpful in reminding me my lens cap was on and now knows the BCP definition of a "secret smile". A-I am wishing you all the best in your last year of high school-here is your sneak peek!Senior1 Senior2

Somethings don't change.

For all of you die hard Beth Cardwell Photography blog followers, you may remember last summer I had a shoot with a family who welcomed a new baby girl home.  Her older sister was not so sure of the whole deal at first, then once she was both used to me and the camera she was a ham! This year was no different!  It was a great shoot in downtown Lancaster and the family was again, willing to try some of the ideas I have rolling around in my head.  The coolest part of the day, getting shots of the kids playing in the fountain on Queen Street (I think the kids liked it too!)  Well-"W" Family-thanks for another amazing summer shoot-here is a little flashback and your sneak peek...Summer06RedFountain_2 Smiles_2 Summer07

Sometimes getting rained out...

Is a great thing!!!  Especially when the next day the weather is cooler and you have perfect light!  These 3 kids were so much fun and had so many ideas that fed my creativity. I had to post 3 pics from this session.  The first one because these kids got along so well, the second because I smile every time I look at it and the third, well can you say "eyes". Thanks "L" family for being both fun and flexible.  Here is your sneak peek...Slide Running_2 Eyes_2

This one is for Pappa Jack.

One of my coolest customers had me over for another shoot today.  We did extended family shots, but my favorite picture of the session has to be this one.  This little guy who was all smiles in January, did not want to have anything to do with being away from his Mom.  But he was all about sitting with his brothers while clapping and cheering.  I just let him go and shot away-gotta love the joy on his face!  So to the "G" family here is your sneak peek...

Daddy's Girls

Love this picture!  Esp. since the little one was tough as nails to get any kind of smile from.  But put her with her Daddy-watch out!  It was a great shoot despite mysteriously missing flash cards (hmmm...).  S,S,C and M-hope you guys had as much fun as I did.  Here is your sneak peek...
