Out of the Box!

This gorgeous senior girl wanted some unique shots of herself and I was more than up to the task!  We headed over to a wooded area that "J" likes to hang out at and I loved all the nooks and crannies.  I think my fav shot of the day is the head shot of "J" with the sun flare.  When I was taking the picture, I was thinking to myself, "Man, I hope that flare looks as cool on the screen as it does thru the viewfinder".  So "J" remember what I said about those underwater shots, I am up for it if you are!!  Here is your sneak peek!Orchard_2 Nochair_2 Flare_2 Chucks_2

New kid on the block!

One thing that really makes this business worthwhile (other than my rockstar blog groupies) is the way you can see a family change and grow over the years.  Today I did a shoot with my longest standing customers, who have been so supportive of BCP!  The new kid on the block is little "C" who I have photographed since he was a bump in his mama's belly.  He may have in the past been in the shadow of his superstar big sister, but this year he really showed his potential.  Despite looking at me like I had 10 heads when I suggested he sit still for one second, I finally won him over with a song (who knew the theme song to Jaws would be so well received).  Not to be outdone, big "C" was at her regular best and looked so cool in her new hat!  Thank you "C" family for both your support and for sharing your kick butt family with me!  Here is your sneak peek!2eyes_2 Missc_2

Back on track and some news!!

Sorry for the little hiatus from blogging! The family and I took a mini-vacation to VA. and my hubby and I celebrated 10 years of wedded bliss by throwing a big party. But I am back and have so much info to share!!

On a business note-I have my 2008 wedding package together (yes, I did say package as in one-I am keeping it simple) so if you are interested in booking me for 2008 please call or e-mail me. I am only doing one wedding a month-so once someone puts a deposit down, that month is off the calendar. Some exciting news-this week I will have Christmas/Holiday samples and prices up on the website.  I will have both press printed and unique designed cards available.  The designed cards (not the press printed) will be exclusive! Once someone orders a particular design, that design will no longer be available.  So check in by Sunday to scope yours out!

One more thing-Keep the number 10,000 in your head.  Something big is coming soon!

Of course no blog post from BCP would be complete without a picture!  One my faves is the one below of Cate and Alex at the Airforce Museum in DE. Took it with a fisheye lens which I am slowly falling in love with!

Baby M and the Fabulous Miss M

Did a shoot today for a couple that had the most adorable little girls!  Baby M was truly a sweetheart and Miss M can only be described as a spitfire.  Funniest story of the day-After Miss M showed me her "Princess" room, I mentioned about getting some shots of her jumping on the bed.  Despite being a very independent three year old, she looked me right in the eye and said "My Mommy said no jumping on the bed".  Her Mom did let us jump on the bed-just this once.  "B" Family-Here is your sneak peek...Spitfire Babym Babysun

We went Downtown and all around...

For this senior's photo session!  Found a cool new mural and a fun blue wall-which just set off "L's" eyes! I also wanted to give a shout out to "L's" mom who made an excellent reflector stand-thank you so much for your help.  L-I hope you have an Amazing senior year!!Purple Cooleyes_2

Cool new place!

Today, my clients took me to a place that I have never photographed at before and I was in LOVE!  So many fun nooks and crannies!  Yes, "H" Family I meant what I said about a finders fee (in the form of a comped 8x10).  Best story of the day-I asked the little girl in the images below to tell her brother a secret.  When I asked her what she told him she said, "That I love him". Goodness-I certainly got a little misty. One last thing-S-I was singing Whitney Houston's song "My name is not Susan" all the way home.Wonder where that came from ;).  Littleman_2 Fence Siblings
