I was a guest at a wedding of a friend, and out of respect for the other Pro, kept my camera in it's bag most of the day. I did however get this shot when they were coming out of the church! Best wishes S&D-may happiness and laughter grace your marriage always!!
Grateful, blessed and fortunate are the three words that come to mind when expressing my feelings towards my customers, family and friends!! This is my formal thank you to everyone who voted for Beth Cardwell
Photography in the Lancaster Newspapers 2008 Readers Choice Awards! I have known for several weeks that I won and have had a really tough time keeping it a secret when I wanted to shout from the rooftops and hug everyone that has given their support over the last three years. This award is a true honor and I promise to keep providing the best customer service and photography that I can. Again, thank you so much!
THIS GUY!! Now seriously-this Senior was a hoot! We walked all over and not once did he complain, ever though I made him sit right by a mass of red weevil looking bugs. I even got a hug. "K"-I know you are going to do great this year-thanks for going with the flow-here is the rest of your sneak peek!!
This beautiful pregnant lady doesn't even know. I am so impressed with her will power to not find out. I opened my envelope with the "secret" after about an hour after the ultrasound!
One of my favorite shots of the day (which I had to almost kiss poison ivy to get) is the one in the woods with a rusty old truck. I gave it a little sepia lovin' and I think it looks so cool! Of course I had to include the boys in some of the shots as well. For those who have followed this blog for a while, you may remember last summer the last little boy had a horrible accident. Today he is healthy and happy!! Thanks to everyone who offered their prayers and well wishes.
G Family-the suspense of knowing what you guys are going to have is killing me! I guess we will find out soon enough :)
To all of my Blog Groupies-I have no excuse. I am so sorry for missing last Thursday. To make it up to you, I am going to share the Dog gone cutest pic with a pet I think I have ever taken (well except for maybe the one in this post). So here it is-Can you forgive me? I promise I will try to never miss again :)
If you don't know this by now, I LOVE my downtown sessions! This senior guy and his Mom, trekked all over downtown Lancaster with me to find some cool places to shoot. One thing I noticed right away is "G" is a natural, despite him saying he didn't like getting his picture taken. I hardly had to boss him around at all (okay-I did just a little). Also, if I did not mention this before, I have now found 3 orange walls in Lancaster City and couldn't resist taking "G" to my favorite one for a couple of shots! Best of Luck this year "G"-here is your sneak peeks!
I know, I know, I have been a bad blogger this past week. I promise that by tonight I will have tons of sneak peeks and Favorite Pic Thursday (on Monday). Also, keep your eye out for some VERY exciting news for Beth Cardwell Photography that I have not been able to post on my blog, but will be shouting from the rooftops on Sunday, August 24th!
This shot was taken at my very first First Friday in Downtown Lancaster! As much as I think this orange BC should stand for Beth Cardwell, it actually belongs to a really cool place downtown called Building Character . Stop by- you won't be disappointed. Oh and if you get a chance to talk to one of the owners, Tony, tell him he should sell that BC to me!!
It is always a challenge when you meet someone new to start giving them directions so that you can get the best shot possible. For some people, it takes a while to get into the groove of things. With that said, this weekend I got to meet Miss "K" and I have to admit that she rocked her session! Just got right into it -even when the wind was not being so nice. We got some great shots! I know that she is at the beach right now, so "K" I hope you are having a blast (and behaving)! Enjoy your sneak peek!
